About this release

We first heard Temple of Filth in a small London venue last summer. We knew at once it was right for the label and are delighted to welcome Ear Print and Joe Prang to Londam. Ear Print is a recognisable figure in the London underground scene as a producer, engineer and host of a popular night. Joe Prang is one of the most versatile producers around, spanning the worlds of garage, DnB, house and beyond. Temple of Filth is a real dance floor destroyer bringing squelching low end from the world of bass music, tinges of acid and a driving beat to make a masterful production full of space and drama. Label bosses Riigs and Skenna combine for a remix delivering their signature breakbeat and acid sound to the tune. Together these tracks make for a perfect moment in any set.

Riigs kicks things off with two ideal warm up tunes, Skenna will follow this up with an electro workout before our good friend Olympic Pool Maintenance League brings the nighttime drive. On this EP Four Echoes starts things with a percussive groove, layers of vocal chops and synth bleeps for maximum fun. As the track builds up a melodic lead drives it to a heady conclusion. Second cut VSOP brings an infectious synth melody intertwining with chopped vocals and a driving beat. Both tracks could drop in a melodic techno or tech set and get the party started!

Here he gives us two delicious downtempo organic cuts. ‘Meet Her At The Jazzkantine has an infectious swung groove supporting a pulsing layer which is certain to get people moving. In the second half a soaring flute takes the track to a completely new and optimistic space. We are delighted to welcome Buried Notes to the label. Steeped in the house and urban music of the 90s onwards, he has released on a string of labels including Street Tracks and Aquamelon. The title track is an infectious slice of lo-fi house, based around a gorgeous keys stab, and a delightful vocal hook. Propelled by tight drums, a classic house bassline and sharp lead sounds, the track is made for a dancefloor or beach set. Skenna’s remix take the track firmly into the club with a rave-inspired electro version guaranteed to work a crowd! Riigs gives us a UK bass treatment which skips with urgent contemporary beats. Riigs & Skenna’s new EP takes them into the darker world of atmospheric dub - a sound they love and close to the heartbeat of the label. The title track is built around an evolving analog bass sound, which came straight from the artists’ hardware synths.  Soft pads and an urgent arp bring the energy of the track as it opens up.  Play this one in the dark! White Summer is a more ambient, atmospheric tune with lush pads, haunting vocals and a distant, repeating piano line.  One for the end of a set or a sunrise. Moral Hazard closes the EP with an acid-tinged but chilled dub tune built around a lead line supported by dreamy chords and glitchy percussion. The latest Londam EP takes a journey to the darker corner of the dance floor. Title cut ‘Amsterdub’ sees Riigs & Skenna back together with a slice of driving dub-inspired house. The track is driven by a pulsating baseline, spacey stabs, and glitched out vocals. It is made for late night groovers or dreamers and will be heard a lot this winter! On ‘Jacuzzi’ Skenna creates a deep and mysterious groove with twinkling synths dancing over a hypnotic baseline. When it drops the vocals spin around your head, the synths soar and the track builds to a euphoric climax. Two must have tracks for sweaty sets!

Londam is delighted to present our debut release! Label bosses Skenna and Riigs kick the label off with a deep and emotional three track ep, ‘Underpass’. They have already released on Manual Music, 3rd Avenue, Krafted and Zerothree and bring that experience to this exciting new venture. The title track, Underpass combines gritty drums with emotional pads and vocals before descending down into darkness with a slowly building arp then climbing back into the light for a huge close. Second cut ‘Third Wave’ is built around a huge pad and intertwining vocal/synth melodies over a deep breakbeat. Uplifting and mysterious at the same time. EP closer ‘Cristal Shore’ is a deep groover with a subtle driving beat and haunting melody. Together the EP offers uniquely emotional electronic music for the dancefloor and the soul. This is the first of many exciting releases and events to come.
